The Post-Golden Age Musicals – A Complete Ordered List

The post-golden age musicals of the 1960s showed off more experimental shows and culturally diverse plots. A few of the popular trends at the time included folk/rock, deeper plots, Charles Strouse, Jerry Herman, Kander & Ebb, shows set in the 1930s, comedies, and love stories.

The 1960s are also referred to as the “post-golden age” musical theatre time period. And the most notable musicals of the decade are included below.
