Which musicals are included in the Musical Database?

A musical must meet the following requirements to be included in the database:

  • At least one professionally produced cast album is available online in English.
  • The show must have had at least one live production.

Additionally, the musical must fulfill at least one of the following criteria:

  • It has been on Broadway, West End, or an equivalent major theater venue.
  • It was written by an established composer with multiple well-known musicals.
  • It has established a large and enduring fan base.
  • It has been produced in multiple major theaters across different cities.
  • It has won a prestigious award (Drama Desk, Tony, or Equivalent).

Although uncommon, exceptions may be considered in limited cases.
