Synopsis

Mr. President tells the story of President Stephen Decatur Henderson, a man dedicated to his country and political service. As he faces the unexpected cancellation of a Soviet tour to Russia, Henderson’s decision to land in Moscow against protocol leads to personal humiliation and the loss of his re-election bid. Mr. President provides a glimpse into the inner workings of politics, while capturing the human side of those in power.
