Synopsis
The Sound of Music is set in Austria on the eve of World War II. The story follows Maria, a young woman, who becomes governess for the von Trapp family. As Maria brings joy and music into their strict household, she forms a special bond with the seven von Trapp children. Maria and Captain von Trapp find themselves drawn to each other as well. But their happiness is soon tested by the current political situation and challenges they encounter along the way.
