Based on the popular Tim Burton film, Beetlejuice is a very popular choice of show. It’s edgy, it’s funny, and it’s perfect for tapping into those Halloween vibes!

Monstersongs is so over-the-top fitting for the Halloween season! It’s about a child who opens a portal that leads him into the “psyches of often misunderstood creatures”. If you have a youth or high school theatre company, this could be a great choice!

This is definitely my favorite Halloween musical for young audiences. It’s a very sweet story about a square pumpkin who lives on a farm full of round ones.

Tarrytown is a contemporary musical that’s loosely based on the story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It’s also designed to be performed by three singing actors, so it’s great for tiny casts!

Based on the cartoons of Charles Addams, The Addams Family musical follows Wednesday Addams as she falls in love with a boy who is way too normal for her family to handle.

The Rocky Horror Show 

There is no way this list would be complete without this cult classic. It’s a story of a newly-engaged couple who stumbles upon the home of mad-transvestite scientist, and it’s definitely my favorite Halloween musical of all time.

The Witches of Eastwick is about three housewives who all wish for the man of their dreams. Enter Darryl Van Horne – a devilish character who encourages each of the women to unlock their own special powers.

Zombie Prom

This musical is set in high school and follows the story of a boy who tries to win back his love at the prom after soaking himself in toxic waste. The music style is classic 50s and is great for young performers.
