Synopsis:

Passing Strange follows a young man’s quest for “the real” as he travels from Los Angeles to Europe. The protagonist, referred to as Youth, rebels against his middle-class upbringing, seeking authenticity and self-discovery. As he navigates different cultures and confronts the complexities of identity, Youth grapples with the price of personal freedom. Passing Strange is a coming-of-age musical that explores themes of race, culture, and the search for one’s true self.
