Synopsis:
Chrysanthemum is about a young woman who disappears while fetching milk, only to return three years later, her cans filled. When her father accuses her of going to Buenos Aires, he kicks her out, and she ends up in Limehouse with other women who’ve fallen on hard times. Unbeknownst to her father, Chrysanthemum was actually a victim of kidnapping. The musical delves into themes of redemption and adversity, presenting an exploration of human resilience.
