Synopsis

Charlotte Sweet tells the story of Charlotte, a talented singer with a world-class soprano voice. Due to the family debt, Charlotte is forced to leave her sweetheart, Ludlow Ladd, before joining Barnaby Bugaboo’s Circus of Voices. As Charlotte becomes the star attraction of the circus, she’s exploited by Barnaby until she suffers a vocal breakdown. Charlotte Sweet blends melodrama with operetta, showcasing the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.
