Synopsis

Bloomer Girl tells the story of Evelina Applegate, a young woman abolitionist who challenges societal norms by wearing bloomers. As she navigates progress and activism, she ends up falling in love with a Kentucky man, whom she refuses to marry until he frees his slave. Bloomer Girl is an exploration of gender roles, racial equality, relationships, and social justice.
