The Music Man tells the story of Harold Hill, a charismatic traveling salesman, who arrives in the small town of River City, Iowa. Posing as a boys’ band organizer, Hill convinces the townspeople to invest in instruments and uniforms for their children, promising to create a magnificent band. However, Hill plans to skip town with the money before he has to fulfill his promise. As Hill becomes more involved with the community, he unexpectedly finds himself developing genuine connections, particularly with the local librarian, Marian Paroo.
