Synopsis:
The Drowsy Chaperone revolves around a theatre enthusiast known as the Man in Chair. Seeking solace from a dreary day, he plays the record of his favorite 1928 musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, which magically comes to life in his apartment. The musical within the musical unfolds as a wedding-day romp, complete with mistaken identities, gangsters posing as pastry chefs, and a chaperone who enjoys her cocktails a bit too much. Throughout, the Man in Chair provides commentary, sharing his love for musical theater and adding an element of humor and nostalgia.
