Synopsis

The Drowsy Chaperone revolves around a theatre enthusiast known as “Man in Chair”. Seeking solace from a dreary day, he plays the record of his favorite 1928 musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, which magically comes to life in his apartment. The musical unfolds as a wedding-day romp, complete with mistaken identities and gangsters in disguise. Man in Chair provides commentary throughout, sharing his love for musical theatre and adding an element of nostalgia.
