Set in New York City’s Washington Heights, this musical follows the inspiring Usnavi as he dreams of a brighter future. In the Heights was Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway musical and won an impressive four Tony Awards out of a whopping 13 nominations!

Bring It On

Musical Type: Contemporary (2011)

Inspired by the hit film, Bring It On is about the competitive world of high school cheerleading. This collaboration between Miranda, Kitt, Green, and Whitty received two Tony Award nominations.

21 Chump Street

Music/Lyrics: Lin-Manuel Miranda

Musical Type: Contemporary (2014)

21 Chump Street is a short yet impactful musical, inspired by an episode of This American Life. The narrative unfolds as the protagonist unexpectedly falls for an undercover police officer.

New York, New York

Musical Type: Contemporary (2023)

New York, New York is a jukebox musical hybrid that weaves together both older songs from Kander and Ebb scores and new songs co-written with Lin-Manuel Miranda. The musical received nine Tony Award nominations at the 2023 ceremony.
