Synopsis:

Made in Dagenham is based on the true events of the 1968 Ford sewing machinists strike in Dagenham, England. The story centers on Rita O’Grady, a working-class woman who becomes a leader in the fight for gender equality. Rita and her female coworkers at the Ford factory are unfairly classified as unskilled laborers, receiving lower wages than their male counterparts. Frustrated by the injustice, Rita takes a stand and leads a strike that garners national attention. Made in Dagenham is a tale of empowerment, solidarity, and the justice in the face of adversity.
