Synopsis

Billy Elliot follows a young boy who discovers a love for ballet in a community where boxing is the norm. Amidst his family’s coal-mining background and the miners’ strike, Billy secretly pursues his dream of becoming a professional dancer. With the support of his dance teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson, and his best friend Michael, Billy works to audition for the Royal Ballet School in London. Billy Elliot explores themes of self-discovery, acceptance, and the power of dreams.
