Synopsis
Based on the 1983 movie, Flashdance follows the story of Alex Owens, a determined young woman from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Alex works as a welder, but also has a side hustle as a “flashdancer”. When she decides to follow her dreams and audition for a prestigious dance school, she must learn to overcome personal obstacles and confront her fears. Flashdance touches on themes of love, endurance, and the power of the performing arts.
