Synopsis

Dessa Rose depicts the lives of two women amidst the backdrop of slavery and oppression. Dessa Rose, a young enslaved woman, and Ruth, a white woman facing her own hardships, form an unlikely bond as they navigate through the challenges of their time. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery and find strength in each other’s stories. Dessa Rose explores themes of friendship, resilience, and triumph in the face of adversity.
