Synopsis
Dearest Enemy recounts the true story of Mary Murray, who cleverly delays British General Howe and his soldiers through hospitality, serving them cake, wine, and engaging conversation. Amidst all this, romantic complications arise between Mary’s daughter Jane and British officer Harry, as well as her niece Betsy and British Captain Sir John Copeland. Against the backdrop of the American Revolutionary War, Dearest Enemy delves into themes of love, loyalty, and patriotism.
