Synopsis

Hadestown weaves together the ancient myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, Hades and Persephone. The story follows Orpheus, a gifted musician, as he journeys into the underworld to rescue his beloved Eurydice. Alongside their story, the musical explores the complicated romantic relationship between Hades and Persephone. Through these intertwined journeys, Hadestown explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the consequences of human choices in a world where hope and tragedy are deeply intertwined.
