Gettin’ the Band Back Together follows the story of Mitch Papadopolous, a middle-aged banker who is laid off from his job and returns to his hometown to live with his mother. Upon reconnecting with his high school friends, Mitch discovers that his childhood nemesis, now a successful real estate developer, is threatening to foreclose on his mother’s house. In an attempt to save the day, Mitch and his friends decide to reunite their old high school rock band to win a Battle of the Bands competition and secure the needed cash prize. Gettin’ the Band Back Together explores the themes of second chances and music’s ability to bring people together.
