Synopsis

Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of Evan, a high school student with social anxiety, who becomes entangled in a web of lies after the death of a classmate. When a letter he wrote to himself is mistaken as a farewell note from the deceased, Evan finds himself at the center of a wave of sympathy and attention. As he navigates this newfound popularity, Evan must confront his own insecurities, face the consequences of his actions, and learn the importance of authenticity.
