Synopsis

Preludes tells the story of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff as he struggles with depression and writer’s block after the disastrous premiere of his first symphony. Through dreamlike sequences and interactions, the musical delves into his journey of self-discovery, eventually leading to him finding inspiration and composing his beloved “Piano Concerto no. 2 in C Minor”.
