Synopsis:

Preludes tells the story of the famous Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. The musical explores Rachmaninoff’s struggle with depression and writer’s block after the disastrous premiere of his first symphony. Through dreamlike sequences and interactions, the show delves into his journey of self-discovery, finding inspiration, and eventually composing his beloved “Piano Concerto no. 2 in C Minor”.
